Automotive
Motor vehicles today incorporate a rapidly increasing range of
electronic assemblies, ranging from engine management and safety
to comfort control and entertainment systems. These additional features
and increased complexity must be achieved without sacrificing the
high overall reliability levels demanded by customers.
Automotive manufacturers have always been at the forefront of reliability
enhancement techniques, and set very demanding goals for their suppliers.
Environmental Test chambers are used extensively to test components
and assemblies over the full range of operating environments, and
new techniques such as HALT and HASS are now being used to save
both cost and time during development and manufacture.
